Carte de la Louisiane et du Cours du Mississippi, undated
Reproduction of a map from LaHarpe's Journeys of 1718-1722. The original map was the first to contain the printed notation of 'Texas' (the Mission de los Tiejas, stablie en 1716), the first large-scale map of the lower Mississippi, the first cartographic appearance of New Orleans, and the first credible attempt to identify the routes of many great explores including De Soto, La Salle, Ponce de Leon, St. Denis, Tonti, and others.

Long's exploratory expeditions through the Great Plains of America to the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains. Includes topographic features, routes of various early explorers, and indicates Native American inhabitation. Map is bordered by statistical data about the area.
